About ten years ago, when our family purchased a place in Amish Country it was actually a newer but very authentically Amish place. The house was furnished with natural gas for lighting. And while it was wired for better resale value the electricity wasn’t being used.
We still live here. Plus, there’s a barn across the driveway from the house where the Amish family’s horse and buggy were kept.
Well, this is the rest of the story...
The Amish horse barn has been refurbished and that is the headquarters of Old World Polish Pottery. Our place has the characteristics of newer Amish homes in the area and we love our place.
